In the winter of 2023, the life of Michael James Robinson, a 40-year-old White male, came to a tragic end in Las Vegas, Nevada. On January 21st, his body was discovered inside a restroom at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The cause of death was later determined by the Clark County coroner to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
In the time leading up to his death, Robinson was reportedly seen exhibiting odd behaviors.
Casino surveillance footage captured him walking in circles without an apparent destination and attempting to open the doors of random vehicles in the valet area. His actions were described as suspicious by those who observed him before he entered the restroom where his body would later be found.
Around 8:40 in the morning, a loud bang was heard from the men's restroom. Responding to the sound, hotel security entered and found Robinson in a locked stall. Alongside him were a medium-sized rolling suitcase, a bag, and an AR-15 rifle. Authorities also located what they described as a suicide note. Following an investigation into the circumstances, his death was officially ruled a suicide, and as a result, there were no suspects or arrests in the case.
