In the late hours of a Monday evening in Las Vegas, on July 10, 2023, the life of Tevin Moore, a 28-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short. At approximately 10:30 p.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the central part of the city. Upon arrival at the 3700 block of Arville Street, officers discovered Moore on the ground, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the immediate efforts of the officers, who
administered chest compressions in a desperate attempt to save him, Moore succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Clark County Coroner's office would later confirm that his death was a homicide resulting from the gunshot wounds he sustained. A father to twin children, Mason and Makai, Tevin was remembered by his family as a loving son, a devoted brother, and above all, a doting father who was deeply committed to raising his children to be strong and compassionate individuals.
