On November 27, 2023, 70-year-old Manuel Velasquez was fatally shot in his Las Vegas home during a domestic altercation with his son, 28-year-old Isaac Velasquez. The incident occurred around 11:18 p.m. in the 9700 block of Horseback Circle. A 911 dispatcher received an open-line call, overhearing an argument and subsequent gunshots. During the call, Isaac reportedly stated, "I killed my own father," and later added, "Hey dad, God bless you in hell, ."
