In a tragic turn of events on June 24, 2024, a shooting at a North Las Vegas apartment complex near Commerce Street and Craig Road claimed the life of 21-year-old Christopher Munoz, a Black male. Munoz was a student at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, pursuing a degree in Kinesiology and was active in the ROTC program. Described as a gentle soul and a wonderful older brother, his life was cut short in an act of violence that also took the lives of his mother and grandmother.
