In the late afternoon of February 21, 2022, a dispute between the occupants of three vehicles traveling on a North Las Vegas street escalated into a fatal shooting. Kai Malozzie Terry, a 21-year-old Black man, was driving one of the cars involved in the argument near Gold Crest Park, in the vicinity of Craig Road and Revere Street. The confrontation took a deadly turn around 5:25 p.m. when an unidentified individual fired a gun, striking Terry.
