On the night of May 1, 2021, a young Black/African American man named Khyler Rashaan Johnson, 19, was fatally shot in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident began to unfold around 10:40 p.m. when police received reports of a shooting at an apartment complex on the 4200 block of Commerce Street. Soon after, more calls came in about gunfire being exchanged between two vehicles near Commerce Street and Craig Road.
