In the summer of 2021, the life of 26-year-old Gerald Lamar Meeks was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in North Las Vegas, Nevada. On the evening of Friday, June 11, officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department were dispatched to the 2000 block of Lawry Avenue, near the intersection of Lake Mead and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards, following a report of an injured person. Upon their arrival at approximately 9:30 p.m., they discovered Meeks suffering from gunshot wounds.
