In the late afternoon of January 28, 2016, a dispute in a North Las Vegas apartment complex tragically escalated, ending the life of 18-year-old Kishawn Washington, a Black male. The fatal encounter occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Civic Center Drive, near Cheyenne Avenue. An altercation, which began as a verbal argument, soon spiraled into a physical fight, culminating in gunfire.
