On the evening of October 11, 2024, in a quiet Henderson, Nevada neighborhood, the life of 20-year-old Evan Scoggins was tragically cut short in an act of violence that also claimed the life of his mother. Evan, a White male, and his mother, 44-year-old Anastasiya Groschen, were fatally shot inside their home on Black Rock Hills Drive. The sole suspect in the double homicide is Evan's stepfather and Anastasiya's husband, 41-year-old Karl Groschen.
