On the night of October 12, 2019, Ronnie Joe Cravens Jr., a 40-year-old Black male known in the rap community as Succeed Phlyguy, was killed during a violent home invasion in Henderson, Nevada. The incident occurred at his residence in the 2900 block of Clarity Court, where he lived with his roommates. That evening, while Cravens and his roommates were occupied with editing one of his music videos, at least three individuals forced their way into the home.

The intruders' presence led to a violent confrontation. During the chaos, Cravens was fatally shot. The attack was not a random act of violence; investigators later uncovered a chillingly calculated plot behind the home invasion. In the days leading up to the murder, free pizzas were repeatedly delivered to Cravens's home. Detectives believe this was a deliberate tactic used by the suspects to observe the residence, gather information about the occupants' schedules, and plan the timing of their assault.

The investigation into the murder of Succeed Phlyguy led to the arrests of two men. Angell Cordero Fernandez, a 25-year-old from Las Vegas who was on parole at the time, was the first suspect to be taken into custody. A few months later, in January 2020, authorities arrested a second suspect, 27-year-old Michael Jerome Mosely. Both men were charged with multiple felonies, including murder, attempted murder, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, battery, and robbery, all with a deadly weapon. Fernandez faced an additional charge for being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.

While two suspects were apprehended, initial reports from the investigation indicated that at least three individuals were involved in the home invasion. It remained unclear whether the third person was ever identified or taken into custody. The case against Fernandez and Mosely proceeded through the court system, with Fernandez pleading not guilty to the charges brought against him.
