On a day that should have been filled with celebration, Jorrell Jovon Coppage, a 35-year-old Black/African American male, was fatally shot on June 18, 2023, which tragically was his first Father's Day. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on the 5300 block of Bryant Avenue North in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, near the city's border with Minneapolis. He was a resident of Brooklyn Center.
