On October 31, 2023, at approximately 5 p.m., Brooklyn Park police responded to a shooting near the intersection of 73rd Avenue North and Zane Avenue North. Upon arrival, officers discovered two 16-year-old victims with gunshot wounds. One of the victims, identified as Diriye Abdi Muhumed of Brooklyn Park, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim, identified as Chardid Hachi Farah of Minneapolis, was transported to North Memorial Health Hospital in critical condition. Despite medical e ...
