On May 16, 2024, Di'Jon Chase Legore-Banks, a 32-year-old man from Blaine, Minnesota, was fatally shot in Minneapolis. The incident occurred just after noon in the city's Near North neighborhood, near Morgan Avenue and 12th Avenue. Minneapolis police responded to reports of a shooting and found Legore-Banks suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
