On the evening of July 31, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in Saint Paul's Frogtown neighborhood, leaving a 33-year-old Black / African American man, Tirece Reed, fatally wounded. The incident, which marked the city's 15th homicide of the year, occurred just before 7 p.m. near the intersection of Charles Avenue and Galtier Street.
