On January 13, 2024, at approximately 7 p.m., 21-year-old Markese D. Gleghorn was fatally shot outside a McDonald's restaurant near the intersection of West 87th Street Parkway and Pflumm Road in Lenexa, Kansas. Officers discovered Gleghorn inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
