In a tragic event that unfolded in Denham Springs, Louisiana, 26-year-old Anthony Larven Self Jr. died from a shooting on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The incident, which took place around 2 p.m. at The Crossing Apartments on Buddy Ellis Road, is being investigated by the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office as a domestic-related murder-suicide.
Deputies arriving at the scene discovered two deceased males. The second man was identified as 45-year-old Deshaun Ennis of Amite.
Family members at the apartment complex identified Ennis as the husband of Self's mother, making him Self's stepfather. Sources indicated that one of the men appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
