In the St. Claude neighborhood of New Orleans, a tragedy unfolded on March 2, 2023, that cut short the life of 14-year-old Octavius Wells. The young male was found in a driveway in the 1600 block of Lesseps Street, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office later identified Wells as the victim of the deadly shooting.
