On March 7, 2023, Shircreasia "Nookie" Monique Madison, a 40-year-old resident of Independence, Louisiana, was fatally shot during a domestic dispute at her residence. The incident involved her live-in boyfriend, 28-year-old Eric Harrell of Amite, Louisiana.
