On April 4, 2023, Felton Wallace Jr., a 41-year-old resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but originally from Lutcher, Louisiana, succumbed to injuries sustained in a shooting incident. The St. James Sheriff’s Office received a call at 1:55 PM regarding a person shot on North Courseault Street in Lutcher. Upon arrival, deputies found one person shot, who was subsequently identified as Felton Wallace. He was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries.
