On April 13, 2023, 31-year-old Brittany Yvonne Guillory Fontenot, a female resident of Chataignier, Louisiana, died from multiple gunshot wounds. Her husband, Ray Charles Fontenot Jr., initially reported her death as a suicide, claiming she had shot herself three times in the head.
