In the warm evening of July 4, 2023, a joyous Fourth of July block party in Shreveport, Louisiana, turned into a scene of terror and tragedy. Among the hundreds gathered in the Martin Luther King Jr. neighborhood, 22-year-old Morad Aziz, a Black male, was enjoying the festivities.
