On July 7, 2023, Jaylan Stanton, a 30-year-old man, was fatally shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The incident occurred in the 200 block of West Johnson Street, where uniformed officers responded to reports of shots being fired, alerted by the BRPD’s Shot Spotter program. Upon arrival, officers found Jaylan Stanton lying in a grassy vacant lot, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds.
