In the summer of 2023, a life was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On the evening of July 7th, thirty-year-old Jaylan Stanton was discovered lifeless in a grassy, vacant lot located in the 200 block of West Johnson Street. Authorities were initially alerted to the sound of gunfire in the vicinity at approximately 8:35 p.m. through the city's Shot Spotter program. Upon their arrival, they found Stanton deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
