In the summer of 2023, the life of 34-year-old Christopher Holden was tragically cut short in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. On the morning of July 15th, volunteers participating in a park cleanup at BREC's South Flannery Park made a grim discovery: the body of a man who had been shot. The man was identified as Christopher Holden.
Investigators with the Baton Rouge Police Department quickly determined that Holden had not been killed at the park, but that his body had been brought there after
the fact. Their investigation led them to an apartment complex on Boulevard De Province, where they believe the fatal shooting occurred on July 14th. It was there that a domestic dispute is believed to have escalated to violence.
Within days, arrests were made in connection with Holden's death. His 42-year-old girlfriend, Janice Frazier, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Authorities allege that Frazier shot Holden during a domestic altercation. In a startling turn of events, during questioning, Frazier also confessed to the 2021 killing of a former boyfriend, Emanie Anderson.
The investigation did not end with Frazier's arrest. Two other individuals, 45-year-old Gregory Williams and 23-year-old Christopher Smith, were also arrested for their alleged involvement. Williams was charged with second-degree murder and obstruction of justice, while Smith faced charges of accessory to second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. Security footage reportedly captured Frazier and another individual 'acting suspicious' as they left the apartment complex in separate vehicles, which were later seen arriving at the park where Holden's body was discovered.
