On September 25, 2023, 22-year-old Roderick Keith Guidry Jr. of Abbeville, Louisiana, was found dead following a reported shooting at the Live Oak Manor Apartment Complex. The Abbeville Police Department received multiple calls about shots being fired at approximately 11:10 PM. Upon arrival, officers followed a trail of blood that led into a pasture near the complex, where they discovered Guidry's body.
