In the late hours of New Year's night in New Iberia, Louisiana, Thaddeus Davis, a 44-year-old man, was walking home from his grandmother's house. As he made his way along his usual route on Lombard Street at approximately 11:45 p.m., tragedy struck when he was shot multiple times.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and Davis was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries in the early morning hours of January 2, 2024. His death was the result of a main artery in his leg being struck, leading to significant blood loss.
