In the quiet community of Morgan City, Louisiana, a welfare check on a residence on Short Street unfolded into a tragic scene on the afternoon of Monday, January 29, 2024. Responding to a call at approximately 1:27 p.m., officers from the Morgan City Police Department made a grim discovery inside the home.
