Van Joseph Hunt, an 11-year-old boy from Morgan City, Louisiana, tragically lost his life on February 12, 2022. Van, who was attending a sleepover at a friend's house on Maple Street, was fatally shot in the back of the head by a 14-year-old boy. The incident occurred when the teenager gained access to a shotgun, loaded it with shells, and pointed it at Van before pulling the trigger.
