John I. Kahl, aged 34, was a male of Caucasian ethnicity who served as an agent in the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City, Louisiana. On June 4, 1980, he was shot and killed while executing a search warrant related to illegal drug activity at a residence on Railroad Avenue.
