A family in Bossier City, Louisiana, was torn apart by violence in the winter of 2024. Quincy Robinson, a 35-year-old Black man known to some as "Quint," lost his life in a shooting that led to the arrest of his own brother.
On the morning of Thursday, February 1, 2024, police were called to the 700 block of Anthony Street. There, they found Quincy Robinson suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.
First responders rushed him to a hospital in nearby Shreveport for emergency medical care, but his injury was too severe, and he died.
The Bossier City Police Department’s investigation into the homicide quickly pointed to a suspect within Quincy’s family. Authorities identified his older brother, 41-year-old Ulysses Undras Robinson, also of Bossier City, as the person responsible for the fatal shooting.
Ulysses Robinson was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with his brother’s death. He also faced additional charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, failure to seek assistance, and obstruction of justice through evidence tampering.
Following his arrest, Ulysses Robinson appeared via video before a Bossier District Court judge for a hearing. A judge set his bond at $515,000. As of February 2024, the case was proceeding through the court system.
