Annette D. Touvell, a 65-year-old resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana, died on March 2, 2024, as a result of a drive-by shooting. The incident occurred at approximately 7:45 PM on West Tank Farm Road in Calcasieu Parish. During the shooting, multiple rounds were fired, and a bullet traveled through a residence, striking Touvell who was inside the home. She was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
