On a Tuesday evening in Lake Charles, Louisiana, a welfare check at a residence on Topsy Road on November 12, 2024, unveiled a tragic scene. Responding to a report of a possible hostage situation, deputies from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office arrived at the home. As they attempted to make entry, a single gunshot was heard from within, prompting the deployment of the CPSO ACT-Team.
Once the residence was secured and cleared, authorities discovered the bodies of two 23-year-old women
from Lake Charles: Madison Guillory and Dahlen Semar. Both women were deceased as a result of gunshot wounds. The ensuing investigation by detectives determined the incident to be a murder-suicide. The evidence indicated that Dahlen Semar had shot and killed Madison Guillory before turning the gun on herself, ending her own life with a self-inflicted gunshot.
The individual who initially contacted law enforcement, 24-year-old Gabriel B. Williams of Lake Charles, was subsequently arrested. Investigators learned that Williams had provided false and misleading information to the deputies who first arrived on the scene. It was also discovered that after contacting the authorities, he attempted to destroy potential evidence related to the case. While he was ruled out as the shooter in the deaths of Guillory and Semar, Williams was taken into custody and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He faces charges of obstruction of justice and failure to report certain felonies.
