In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 7, 2024, the life of 28-year-old Andrew Thomas, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Ville Platte, Louisiana. The incident occurred near the intersection of North Chataignier Street and East Jackson Street. Law enforcement, including the Ville Platte Police and Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Deputies, responded to the scene.
