Dale Richard Robinson, an 84-year-old man from Moville, Iowa, suffering from Alzheimer's disease, went missing on Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was last seen in Moville while getting gas, and was also seen at the four-way stop heading west on Highway 20. Later that afternoon, at approximately 1:00 p.m., surveillance footage captured him in the parking lot of the Argosy Casino in Sioux City, Iowa.
At the time of his disappearance, Robinson was driving a maroon and gray 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck with Iowa license plate number 870ZCF. He was wearing a long-sleeved maroon plaid shirt and dark blue jeans. He is described as a white male with gray, thinning hair and blue eyes, standing at 5'6" and weighing between 90 and 100 pounds. He also had a black glasses case with him.
There were unconfirmed sightings of Robinson at museums in Missouri Valley and Council Bluffs, Iowa, following his disappearance. It was believed that he might have been en route to Santa Ana or Paramount, California, or St. Joseph, Missouri. Due to his medical condition, his family and law enforcement expressed concern for his safety.
The Moville Police Department and the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office were involved in the search for Mr. Robinson. His case was shared through the Iowa Missing Person Information Clearinghouse and his profile was created on the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.
