Benjamin Roseland, a 19-year-old from Clinton, Iowa, went missing on the night of February 9, 2008. He was last seen leaving a friend’s house around 10:30 p.m. on 10th Avenue South, intending to walk to a nearby Hy-Vee grocery store on South 4th Street. However, Benjamin never made it to the store, and he has not been seen or heard from since.
At the time of his disappearance, Benjamin was a student at Clinton Community College and lived with his parents.
He had recently been involved in a car accident, which left him with a fractured skull. Despite this, his family insisted that he was not trying to avoid any legal repercussions related to the accident, as he had hired a lawyer and had a significant amount of money saved for future plans. His shoes were later found several blocks apart, but no other traces of him were discovered.
There has been no activity on his phone or bank accounts since he went missing, and he did not take any personal belongings with him. His family continues to search for answers, and they have raised awareness of his case through local efforts and national missing persons tours.
