On a quiet Sunday in Avondale, Louisiana, the stillness of the evening was broken by a grim discovery that would leave a community searching for answers. Inside a residence on Coretta Drive, 49-year-old Marcus Magee, a man known to his loved ones as Mark, was found the victim of a violent end. He was not alone; alongside him was 34-year-old Brandon Washington. Both men, residents of Westwego, had been fatally shot on June 2, 2024.
