On June 12, 2024, 28-year-old Coriana Leggett was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a business located in the 10800 block of Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East. The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) received the call at approximately 3:58 p.m., and Leggett was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:21 p.m.
