In the late afternoon hours of a Wednesday in New Orleans, the life of 28-year-old Coriana Leggett, an African American woman, was tragically cut short. On June 12, 2024, in the 10800 block of Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East, Leggett was found unresponsive in the parking lot of a business. The New Orleans Police Department responded to a call at approximately 3:58 p.m. and discovered her with multiple gunshot wounds.
