Sidni Dalcour, a 25-year-old African American woman, was found shot to death in New Orleans, Louisiana, on the evening of Thursday, May 18, 2017. A resident of a New Orleans East apartment complex on Bundy Road discovered her body in the driver's seat of her red Infiniti G-35. The car's engine was still running when first responders arrived at the scene.
Dalcour, who worked at a restaurant in the French Quarter, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
In the wake of her death, Dalcour's family described her as a beautiful and sweet individual. Her mother revealed that Sidni had been attempting to leave a difficult and tumultuous relationship with her estranged husband, Justin Renee Lewis, a rapper also known as Mad Muzik Cali. Family members, including her sister and cousin, later stated they had long been aware of abuse within the relationship, alleging that Lewis had physically assaulted Dalcour on multiple occasions, resulting in injuries that required hospital treatment. They immediately suspected he was involved in her death, believing she had no other enemies.
Despite the family's suspicions and their belief that Lewis was responsible for her death, he was never charged in connection with the crime. The New Orleans Police Department investigated the homicide, but according to her family, the case went cold after a potential witness declined to testify. As of late 2023, Sidni Dalcour's murder remains officially unsolved.
In October 2023, Justin Renee Lewis was arrested in Georgia and charged with the murder of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Raesha Heard, who was fatally shot in her parents' driveway. While Lewis maintains his innocence in both cases, Dalcour's family has expressed their belief that if her case had been solved, Heard's death could have been prevented.
