In the summer of 2025, the city of New Orleans was rocked by a tragic event that cut short the lives of two individuals in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide. On August 10th, 50-year-old Zennitria Stevenson, a female resident of the city, was found dead from gunshot wounds. The incident, which also resulted in the death of 55-year-old Esvin Carrera, unfolded in the Pines Village area, leaving a community in mourning.
