In the early hours of July 1, 2024, Baton Rouge Police Department officers responded to a 911 call for assistance in the 1000 block of North Donmoor Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 36-year-old Byron Irving, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
