On September 8, 2024, a homicide occurred in Tallulah, Louisiana, resulting in the death of 24-year-old John Ward Jr. of Texas. The incident took place at approximately 1:50 a.m. in the 200 block of Thomas Street. The Louisiana State Police/CID/Detectives-Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO) were requested by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) to investigate the homicide, which involved a shooting.
