In the late summer of 2024, the community of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was shaken by the violent death of 29-year-old Jeremy Jamal “Jay” Ware. A male resident of the city, Ware was fatally wounded by gunfire on Friday, September 13, 2024. The incident prompted an immediate investigation by the Lake Charles Police Department as they began the search for those responsible for the bloodshed.
