In the spring of 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the peace of a Lake Charles, Louisiana neighborhood, tragically ending the life of 22-year-old Cody Lastrapes. On the evening of April 6th, Lastrapes and three companions, a man and two women, found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time in the 2000 block of Tulip Street.
