On October 9, 2024, 36-year-old Dequincy Jones was found dead in the parking lot of the Hillside Apartments in Minden, Louisiana. The initial discovery was made by police responding to a call around 11 PM, where they found Jones lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the left side of his head.
