On October 12, 2024, 17-year-old Dashayla Ardoin of Mamou, Louisiana, and her 21-year-old boyfriend, Glenkeithan Robertson of Opelousas, Louisiana, were found dead in what authorities believe to be a murder-suicide. The bodies were discovered in a vehicle along Highway 367 (White Oak Highway) in the Richard area of Acadia Parish around 7 p.m..
