In the Irish Hill neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, a senseless act of gun violence brought a tragic end to the life of 51-year-old Kenneth Thomas Maier on the afternoon of Thursday, January 26, 2023. A beloved figure at the Commonwealth Theatre Center where he worked in maintenance, Maier was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, class of 1989. His sudden death left his family, friends, and the local arts community in a state of shock and profound grief.
