On the evening of June 24, 2023, Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 6700 block of Strawberry Lane in the Southland Park neighborhood. Upon arrival, they discovered 21-year-old Christopher Fuentes suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to UofL Hospital in serious condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter.
