In the Algonquin neighborhood of Louisville, a life was tragically cut short on a Thursday afternoon. Michael A. Lige, a 42-year-old man, was fatally shot on November 30, 2023. The incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. in the 1600 block of South 11th Street. When officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Lige with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is currently under investigation by the LMPD's Homicide Unit. As of now, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the shooting.
