In the Algonquin neighborhood of Louisville, a life was tragically cut short on a Thursday afternoon. Michael A. Lige, a 42-year-old man, was fatally shot on November 30, 2023. The incident occurred around 1:35 p.m. in the 1600 block of South 11th Street. When officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Lige with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
