On March 21, 2024, 19-year-old D'Andre D. Jenkins lost his life due to gun violence in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Cypress Street, an area between the Park Duvalle and Algonquin neighborhoods. Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) Second Division officers responded to a report of a shooting around 4:30 p.m. and found Jenkins suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite attempts at life-saving measures, Jenkins died at the scene.
