In the spring of 2024, a young man's life was cut short in a burst of violence that unfolded inside a Louisville, Kentucky business. Dion R. Smith, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally wounded on the evening of May 18th in a shooting that also left another man injured. The incident occurred in the 4400 block of Taylor Boulevard, prompting a response from the Louisville Metro Police Department's Fourth Division.
