On August 25, 2024, the Louisville community was shaken by the tragic deaths of 30-year-old Hayley C. Thomas and her father, 57-year-old Walter S. Thomas III, in an apparent murder-suicide. The incident occurred around 5:56 p.m. in the 10200 block of Dodge Lane in the Valley Station neighborhood. Upon arrival, officers found Hayley deceased at the scene, while Walter was transported to a hospital in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.
